Aidilfitri 2010 with New Family Member

This year Hari Raya Aidilfitri, means a lot to me and my family with our new family member, Muhammad Adran Danial.

Our theme color for this year was pink. Actually, I have no intention to make baju melayu for Adran, but changed my mind when my dearest Mrs. Izwanee advised to do so. Immediately after my confinement period, went to Ria Moda in Ipoh to bought the material and send to Aunty Diana. Thanx to her, Adran got to wear his first baju melayu.

Adran was sleeping soundly from one house to another. He was sleeping in the above photo but he managed to smile when Nur Kasih Melissa hold him....ekekekekek. So, cute! What a boy.

Iftar @ Concord KL

When to Concord KL for Iftar with Man's office mates last Saturday. The food was not as good as last year. So, it was quite disappointment for me :(

I was hoping that they were having sup gear box....but zero! But the entertainment is still the same. Loved the band. They were very versatile!

Enjoy the dim sum, steam fish and especially the prawn mee. Others are just okey.

Cherry Dot Cookie

This is a proven recipe copied from Kellogg's Corn Flakes Hari Raya Box.

Ingredient:

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt (not necessary)
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoon fat-free milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup finely chopped, pitted dates
1/3 cup finely chopped maraschino cherries
2 2/3 cups Kellogg's Corn Flakes (crushed to 1 1/2 cups)
15 maraschino cherries, cut into quarters

Method:

1. In mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

2. In large electric mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until light fluffy. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir in milk and vanilla essence. Add flour mixture, combining thoroughly. Stir in nuts, dates and 1/3 cup cherries.

3. Portion dough using level tablespoon. Shape into balls. Roll in Kellogg's Corn Flakes cereal. Place about 2 inches apart on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Top each cookie with cherry quarter.

4. Bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit (180 degree Celsius) about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Removed immediately from baking sheets and cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.

* I'm opt to exclude the nuts, dates and fine chopped cherries.

Baby Update

Last Saturday, we went for Adran's check-up plus 5 in 1 vaccination (polio, tetanus, pertussis, diphtheria & meningitis) for first dose. Alhamdulillah, he didn't cried at all and don't have any fever. Currently, Adran's already 5.6kg.

However, the paediatrician, Dr. Foo told us that there is murmur in his heart beat. An appointment with paediatric cardiologist, Dr. Azam has been set on 30th August to check Adran's heart condition. Both of us was so worried.

* Update: From our check-up with Dr. Azam, there is no problem with his heart. It just a tiny blood vessel outside the heart that should be closed after birth that create the murmur. We need to have a monthly follow-up to monitor the blood vessel. We were thinking to change Adran's paediatrician to Dr. Azam. Plus, Adran's weight has increased to 5.87kg. Increased 0.27kg in two days.

After that, we went to myBBstore at Kuchai Lama which is on the way back from PMC to our house. Our planned was to try the baby swing and if Adran's comfortable with it will purchase the swing for him. Once we put him on the swing....dozzzzzzzzzzz. So, we bought him the swing.

Aidilfitri Ongoing Promotion!

I've thought that since I'm in maternity leave, I could save money since I didn't go out unless to the hospital. But the internet and my shopping nafsu (since shopping for myself was put on hold in order to accommodate for Adran's things) was so eager to have something new.

I love a big handbag with compartment and the gold handbag is what I choose. But the black leather handbag with tassel was also great for weekend use and it match with a pair of black suede flat with tassel. Since, it was difficult to buy shoe online since you can't tried it on plus that I've already spend so much on handbags and wallets and so many other things....the shoe was put a side.

Juicy Couture : I want the Pink Powder, but Black is easy

When I first look at this wallet, I've fallen in love with the design especially the tassel and the Pink Powder color. But when I think holding the wallet while buying nasi campur and etc will ruin the wallet, I opt for the black one instead. I think, the tassel is my thing for this time being.

Kate Spade : Go With The Flow Bangle

I've ordered this bangle for my dearest mother since she doesn't want baju kurung for Aidilfitri from Sue together with Adran's clothes for Aidilfitri.

Back To Ipoh

This was my first experienced travel with Adran. Since the journey from Ipoh - Bangi takes about 2 hours, it could be considered as okey. I can't imagine our journey to Perlis for Aidilfitri. I have to learn some tricks from all experiences moms out there.

But for one night stay trip, it was quite exhausting for me and maybe also for Adran.

However, I've managed to settle all the things that I need to do in Bangi. Another two weeks, my holiday is over. Baby, Work, Fasting !!!!

Bangi Here We Come!

Tomorrow morning, we (me, Adran and my parents) are going to Bangi for Kenduri Tahlil for Arwah Mustapa Kamal (my father-in-law). So, me and Adran will overnight at Bangi.

I have so many things to do.

1. Clean our room
2. Change bed sheet
3. Set-up Adran's baby cot
4. Organized our toilets
5. Organized toilettries
6. and so many more when I reach Bangi.
