Chop Chop Chop

I've just chop off my long hair. I've been trying to cut my hair since last month. Every time I went to Alamanda to have the hair cut, both Hairven and Jantzen were fully booked. But when the salon was not fully booked, I don't think I should cut my hair and paying RM50 just to chop it off was not worth it.

However, yesterday is the ultimate day. Even, I have to wait...I've wait. Beside there were lots of magazines to read...not read la...browsed only.

I've chop my hair until shoulder length only...hope that no more hair losses after this...but I don't think it stop just hope it lessen.

Another Susan Elizabeth Philips

Just bought this book by Susan Elizabeth Philips...titled Breathing Room last Monday at MPH Mid Valley with Ms Azida. There were three (3) books by Susan Elizabeth Philips that I haven't read at MPH. However, the Breathing Room attract me the most. The other two is Glitter Baby and Honey Moon.

From the synopsis, I think I won't buy the Honey Moon. But depends...if there were no more books from Susan Elizabeth Philips...I would consider the book.

Can't wait to read the book...since I've finished the Chasing Harry Winston, I could start with this...this weekend, Sunday...Breathing Room we have an appointment.

Chasing Harry Winston

I've read the book that I've bought last two weeks titled 'Chasing Harry Winston' by Lauren Weisberger. The overall story of the book is so so and okey okey la. Not so enjoyable even I've convinced myself that the story may end in good ways during my reading.

About three best friends living in NYC ...Leigh, Andriana and Emmy searching for love especially when they're approaching 30's.

Leigh, an editor at publishing company who has a loving and understanding boyfriend, Russell but didn't think Russell was the right man even all women around her thinks that he's a catch.

Andriana, a supermodel with a trust fund and she could have any man she want but think she has lose her touch with men.

Emmy, she just got a job traveling around the world and to be 'naughty' after being dump by her boyfriend, Duncan who fallen in love with a virgin trainer and need to divert her attention to other than Duncan.

I think the writer want to make the friendship look a like 'Sex And The City' however the story didn't get to me...I didn't enjoy it. I hate the ending... I hate the so very very tiny letters...I don't think that I'm the only person didn't like this book since I've encounter several reviewer that think that this book SUCKS!

So...good bye Lauren Weisberger...tata!

*Some reviewer think that 'Devils Wear Prada' was enjoyable and E'veryone Worth Knowing' was okey to compared with 'Chasing Harry Winston'.

Malaysian in London

I came across this blog...not a shopping blog or fashionista blog...a guy with a daughter, a son and a wife...living in London...part time studying and part time working and I think he loves gardening.

His entry was titles 'Malaysian Owned British Companies'. As Malaysian, of course I felt proud that our Malaysian or Malaysia's company owned a big share of British companies...

The list of companies from his blog as follows:

Group Lotus Plc
Automobile / Sports cars / Engineering - Owned by Proton Holdings Bhd

Star Energy
Energy / Petroleum - Owned by Petronas

Wessex Water
Water / Utilities - Owned by YTL Corp

Laura Ashley Holdings Plc
Retails - Owned by Malaysian United Industries (MUI) Group

Jimmy Choo Ltd
Retail / Shoes - Owned by Malaysian born, Jimmy Choo (50% share)

What surprise me the most is Laura Ashley owned by Malaysia company....but the price in Malaysia still high and not every product in UK were brought into Malaysia's market.

Uhhh...I'm glad that I'm still interested reading blogs not related to fashion and shopping. At least I have other blogs to spend my time reading rather than SHOPPING! (not that I don't want, just to lessen by expenditure).

Royal Doulton

Mrs. Izwanee had informed the the Royal Doulton and Wedgewood officially going 'under administration' due to economic downturn. Therefore, the company still offering massive discount until this 26th January 2009.

I've listed items what I want from Royal Doulton since Mrs. Izwanee was planning a trip to Stoke to purchase her items. However, the collection that I want already cleared from the shelf.

Coincidently, we have the same taste in dining set. I loved the Chiffon Collection and Mrs. Izwanee currently using the Chiffon Collection. Currently, the Chiffon Collection having 50% discount and once you register at Royal Doulton, another 15% discount on total purchase (lucky me, Mrs. Izwanee gave me the tips). The items will be ship to Mrs. Izwanee' house in Durham... so, Free Shipping...Thanx Ezan...

Dinner Plate, Side Plate, Bowl, Teacup & Saucer

What I've purchase online from Royal Doulton was the Chiffon Collection which consist of Dining & Tea Set for eight (8). Mrs. Izwanee informed that the Chiffon Collection was not available in Malaysia....so, I don't know how to compare with Malaysia's price.

Teapot, Sugar Bowl & Creamer Jug

But I think the price is much much lower... the whole sets that I've purchased can only buy the Tea Set....but I've got the Dining Sets all together. The photo of other items was not so clear... so, I've upload the good ones only...simple design...like lacey or fabric design with gold trim.

Love it. Love it.... Can't wait to have it...Thank you so very very very much Mrs. Izwanee and hope to 'pesan' somemore if the $$$$$ in my pocket.

New Books

I've purchased two books from MPH recently. One of the books are Whitney My Love by Judith McNaught. Actually it was the first book by Judith McNaught that I've read in high school. However, I don't have the book in my collection...so I think I should have the first book for my collection and since I love reading it again and again....

Whitney My Love

Another book was Chasing Harry Winston by Lauren Weisberger. The same author as Devils Wear Prada. Just wanna try a new author (actually, the author has only produce 3 books...and another one title Everyone Worth Knowing)...hope I enjoy this book...If this author could catch my heart...I'll buy the other two books.

Chasing Harry Winston

I'm saving this book for this Chinese New Year's holiday...Hope I have time for this book...since Ms Azida also will occupied herself with books from SATC. But we still can hangout...:)

* I think I want to collect all the first book that I've read that touch my heart deeply and made me love the author...

Beyonce - If I Were A Boy

I love this song...hope you all also enjoy this strong song by Beyonce...

If I were a boy even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted
And go drink beer with the guys

And chase after girls
I'd kick it with who I wanted
And I'd never get confronted for it
'Cause they stick up for me

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man

I'd listen to her
'Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
'Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a boy
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it's broken
So they'd think that I was sleeping alone

I'd put myself first
And make the rules as I go
'Cause I know that she'd be faithful
Waiting for me to come home, to come home

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man

I'd listen to her
'Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
'Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

It's a little too late for you to come back
Say it's just a mistake
Think I'd forgive you like that
If you thought I would wait for you
You thought wrong

But you're just a boy
You don't understand
And you don't understand, oh
How it feels to love a girl
Someday you wish you were a better man

You don't listen to her
You don't care how it hurts
Until you lose the one you wanted
'Cause you're taking her for granted
And everything you had got destroyed
But you're just a boy

Orange Festival

Chinese New Year just around the corner. All contractors 'berlumba-lumba' presented boxes of oranges. So, my boss's secretary and my clerk were in charge for distribution of the oranges to all staffs.

The best oranges were from this boxes

Part of Oranges after partly being distributed

Today, there were three contractors had delivered their oranges. Our office look like oranges warehouse. I think in this one or two weeks other contractors will deliver more oranges to the office.

My portion to take home

So, all staffs at my office get the same portion of oranges. Can you imagine how many boxes of oranges we had received in a day... All delivered by lorry. Sakit ler perut asyik nak makan orange.

* Baru teringin nak beli limau semalam...nasib tak beli...;)

Shoe Shoe Shoe

I've promised myself to purchase only three (3) pair of shoes this year. My first pair was purchased last Saturday at KLCC with my shopping partner (Ms Azida). I've bought an Enzo Angiolini's shoe with 30% discount at Isetan and have our favourite session...our lunch at Chili's.

We were ready too attacked the food

Ms. Azida's picked

My picked

I'm targeting the next purchase for my second pair in the month of April or May and the third purchase maybe by November or December.

Last Saturday, I have promised Ms Azida to accompanied her for bowling practice before her Department Frienly Bowling Match at Alamanda, Putrajaya. However, due to the long queue at the bowling alley...we cancelled our practice and when for late lunch at Sushi King as always.

We browsed all shops and departmental store (only Parkson)...and I have broken my promised to myself. I've bought the second pair of shoe from Aldo with 70% discount.

The uncomfortable shoe from Aldo

However, I don't think that Aldo's shoes fit for me. I have purchase two pair of Aldo's shoes, but not even a pair is comfortable for me. I don't think because of the high heel of the shoe since I've bought the 3" heel and 1" heel. Maybe the shoes only suitable for a short period usage...not suitable for office and of course not for shopping use.

Can I consider...I only bought one pair of shoe this year....since the Aldo was not comfy?

Sad News

I'm feeling down today. I received a sms from my online supplier that her friend had posted the wrong shipment. Therefore, my item was currently still in the US. Sob Sob Sob.

However, she offered me her item which is the same item in the same color but bigger size with no additional cost. I don't want the bigger size...I want the size that I've ordered. So, I have to wait for maybe another 2 weeks...:(

Sedihnyer....

Tie Rack's Scarf

Last year around November, my dearest Ms. Azida posted a blog titled Tie Rack Scarves and I loved one of the scarves she bought online. The pink scarf. But at that time I didn't plan to add another scarf to my collection.

And last Ramadhan, Ms. Azida had bought so many many scarves and I've accompanied her once when we meet this girl form Cyberjaya at Alamanda and she brought all her scarves to show us and Ms. Azida bought around 3 pieces. We also when to KLIA to send Mrs. Izwanee and family to UK and bought ourselves one piece each of Tie Rack's scarf.

The best part was I've just got the pink scarf that Ms. Azida bought last year. It was a souvenir from Mrs. Yusnita when she holidaying in Melbourne, Australia last December. I've told Mrs. Yusnita that I loved this scarf but I didn't buy it. She didn't believed that she could pick the scarf that I really want.

Thanks Mrs. Yusnita for the pinkish and lovely scarf. I think if we want something, there always ways to get it... what I mean in a good way. Not by stealing la....;)

What I've Got For Myseft

Saturday : End of Sales Carnival

I've got myself.....

Compact Cream Foundation

I've got this foundation because I want to try different brand and the price for the refill differ RM10 from MAC which currently I'm using.

Cleansing Oil
Currently, I'm using the Dermalogica Cleasing Oil which is RM145 for 150ml. So, I wanna try new brand... I choose Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil which is RM260 for 450ml and got myself a makeover from Shu Uemura this 18th January 2009 but I'm not sure if I could make it. If not, Ms. Azida will go on my behalf.

Eye Shadow Base
I've tested a few brand such as MAC and Shu Uemura. However, due to the color offered and the less convincing sales adviser...I never bought any. Since I have RM20 voucher can be use for cosmetic, I've bought Stila Shadow Pots... the color was intense and the sales adviser was very very nice.

I can't find in the Stila website for the photo.
This is the Shadow Pots in Honey.

So, Azida this is the eye shadow base. It was so soft and creamy. Very nice.

Socks for Man
I also got additional RM20 voucher, so I've bought 3 pair of United Color Benetton's stripe sock for Man. Murah giler. Only RM7.41 each.
